The Whaler collects user’s personal information when users sign up for our eNewsletter and when users book a room using our online reservations system. We also automatically collect anonymous information about users when they access our website.

How We Collect and Store Information

The Whaler user third party tools to collect and store user data, both personal and anonymous. eNewsletter email addresses are collected and stored by Campaign Monitor. Online reservations information is collected and stored by Open Hotel, our online booking partner.

Anonymous information related to website activity is stored through the use of Google Analytics and possibly other measurement tools. These tools may utilize a mix of tracking technologies, including but not limited to cookies (both first and third party) and tracking pixels (also known as Web beacons).

How We Use Information

We use our opt-in email address list to send occasional marketing and general-interest communications. We adhere to a strict permission-based email policy. At no time will we sell, rent, or loan our email contact lists to any outside entities. Users can opt-out of eNewsletter communications via an unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of each email.

We use information collected during the online reservations process only to complete reservations. We may use collected email addresses to contact users when required to complete an online reservation. We do not share any collected information with outside entities except when necessary to complete a reservation.

We use anonymous website usage information to measure and improve our online experience, track website usage and evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness. At no time do we collect personal information using these tools.
